The Scinet Institute has taken another decisive step in its innovation journey by signing Technical Cooperation Agreement No. 007/2025 with the Secretariat for Science, Technology and Innovation of the State of Pernambuco (SECTI). The initiative, part of the INOVA C.A.T. Program at the Pernambuco Technology Park (Parqtel), represents a strategic advancement in strengthening the region’s scientific and technological ecosystem.
Infrastructure and Research Funding Fuel Innovation
The agreement grants Scinet the right to rational and shared use of Parqtel’s infrastructure, along with resources to support a research and development fellowship. This partnership significantly enhances the Institute’s ability to generate technological solutions with direct application in the productive sector—driving innovation with real societal impact.
Precision Agriculture: Technology and AI in the Field
Within the scope of the cooperation, the project titled “IoT Platform for Precision Agriculture: Integration of Soil Sensing and Digital Image Processing Using AI for Decision Support in Agricultural Production” will be developed. The project combines smart sensors, Internet of Things (IoT) technology, and artificial intelligence algorithms to monitor soil conditions in real time and optimize agricultural management.
This technology will provide farmers with a more accurate understanding of crop needs, fostering sustainability, efficient use of natural resources, and increased productivity—key elements for a more competitive and responsible agribusiness sector.
Integrated Innovation: Regional and National Impact
The partnership with SECTI strengthens the connection between public, private, and academic sectors, promoting scientific and technological advancement in Pernambuco. It stands as a concrete example of how strategic collaboration can accelerate the development of solutions tailored to the challenges of industry and agriculture.
A Commitment to the Future
With this new achievement, the Scinet Institute reaffirms its commitment to transforming scientific knowledge into high-impact innovation. The institution continues to invest in strategic alliances, expanding its areas of operation and contributing to the creation of a smarter, more sustainable, and better-connected future.
